Berlin Africa Economic Forum 2017
On March 21st the Westerwelle Foundation and the German-African Business Association hosted the “3rd Berlin Africa Economic Forum”. We welcomed the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Gerd Müller, as well as the President of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Kaboré. Panelists and participants discussed the challenges of cooperation and migration Africa is currently faced with.
At the Berlin Africa Economic Forum 2017 (BAEF) we discussed the effectiveness of the various regulation policies in Europe aiming to achieve advancements for the African economies. Special attention was given to the new “Marshallplan for Africa” Minister Müller recently released. Young entrepreneurs from different African countries outlined the conditions for success in their home countries and gave an idea of what their startup ecosystem needs to improve.
