Loo Watch is a NGO which counsels international sanitation in India and issues certificates for public toilette suppliers. Her aim is to raise the standards in hygiene, security and environmental awareness. Before founding Loo Watch in 2015, Mayuri has been a The Do School-Fellow. With her initiative she was voted one of the Five Women Making a Real Difference by the Times of India on Women’s Day 2016.

Patience Buhikire lives in Kampala, Uganda where she founded her cosmetic studio Bee Beautiful. Starting with it as a leisure activity, today she got her own business premises and employees, offering cosmetic products and cosmetic treatments. Qualified as a lawyer, she also plans to open up her own legal aid office for enterprises. With giving advice and generating new jobs, Mayuri’s initiatives aim at opening up long-term prospects to young people.

Additionally, Dominik works as independent consultant for clients in the education sector and is an employee at Teach First Germany, supporting the company to develop a strategy on digital education.

Until April 2016 she was also Executive Director of Development, Learning and Training at the Democratic Alliance (DA), South Africa’s second largest political party and Official Opposition, where she was responsible for the DA’s Young Leaders Programme. Ampion aims at supporting entrepreneurship in Africa and is already active in over 15 countries. Inter alia, Ampion organises start-up-bus tours, bringing together international founders and experts with experienced entrepreneurs, to discuss initiatives and develop projects for the African market. For young start-up-enterprises Fabian-Carlos also founded the Blue Factory in Berlin, which offers an accelerator-programme. 2013 to 2015 he was director of the European Young Innovators Forum.

In 2016 he began work at a German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs-funded accelerator in Palo Alto and San Francisco, an initiative that aims to support German tech-startups seeking to enter the US market. Prior to this, James led strategic partnerships and venturing for startup Wunjoo in Munich and is also a founding proponent of the concept Urbanization 4.0, which seeks to unite the principles of the "sharing economy" with sustainable urban growth and development.

In Nairobi Collince Osewe founded the Impact Group East Africa, which also includes his enterprise M-Chanjo, a mobile application which provides vaccination plans for registered families. The application sends notification alerts to remind the users of upcoming vaccination dates. Using a mobile application reduces printing and administrative costs, which helps to provide vaccination service to the poor. His aim is to accomplish a comprehensive immunization penetration and so to reduce childhood deaths. M-Chanjo works together with the African Ministry of Health.

Phyu Wint Yee is the Founder and Managing Director of the Myanmar Compassionate Hands Travels & Tour Company, a travel agency based in Yangon. The company started its work to finance Phyu Wint Yee’s aid project Compassionate Hands. The project was initiated in 2008 to provide help for the victims of the cyclone Nargis, which evoked massive damages in Myanmar. Vincent Zimmer is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kiron - Open Higher Education, a platform that aims to enable refugees to get into higher education. Kiron is based in Berlin but currently active in 11 countries with around 2050 students in 5 programmes. Kiron was awarded several times for example with the Theodor Heuss Medaille and received €2.8 Mio. funding from Google and several foundations. Besides Kiron Vincent also launched the incubator programme Kiron Ventures that is supporting refugee related startups and is currently supporting the largest job platform for refugees named worker as well as Elisum, a code school for refugees based in Bruessels and Jordan.
