Hany Elkhodary is a founder of “Biogas People”, a start-up for building biogas plants in Egypt. He is also a freelancer for rooftop garden & compost workshops. Hany was a finalist for the “Falling Walls Lab” competition in Berlin on November 7th, 2014. Since then he stayed in Berlin until Young Leaders Conference and met representatives of biogas companies in Germany with a purpose of technology transfer and exchange of know-how.

Atanas Grozdev was born in Bulgaria, where he studied Sociology at the Sofia University. He was awarded a scholarship by the Open Society Institute and studies at the University of Washington. He continued his Sociology research at a graduate level, for which he was awarded a Fulbright fellowship at Boston University. Currently he is finishing a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School, where his focus is on entrepreneurship and international development. Alexandre Guion is a doctoral candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he uses modelling and simulation techniques to study the fundamental physics of boiling. He aims to enhance the performance of power plants by better predicting a surface’s ability to transfer heat. Alex paired his passion for science and technology with his hunger for challenge, and in 2013 joined the organizing team of the MIT Global Startup Workshop. He hopes to further engage in building productive collaborations to support economic development worldwide.
