About Stride

As the world grows more interconnected, market expansion becomes increasingly vital for startups, offering boundless opportunities for rapid growth and strategic advantages like new revenue sources and competitive positioning.

Particularly for Tunisian startups, Africa’s diverse and burgeoning markets present fertile ground for expansion due to its 1.3 billion population, rising middle class, and high-tech adoption rates. This move not only propels growth and profitability but also supports economic diversification, innovation, and the building of a resilient business model.

The STRIDE Acceleration Programme is the gateway to expansion for Tunisian startups and Small or Medium Enterprises. It aims to empower 60 Tunisian startups by providing a unique platform to navigate the complexities of international market expansion.

Th 8-month acceleration programme is supported by the Special initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” -Invest for Jobs of the German federal ministry for Economic cooperation and Development and implemented by the Digital Transformation Program of the GIZ Tunisia in partnership with the Westerwelle Foundation.

During its second phase, 15 out of 60 selected startups receive assistance in building and developing their expansion plans. In the last phase 5 startups with solid international business models and market fit are chosen to expand to African countries.
