This handbook shares insights from the Energy Network for Berlin & Africa (ENBA), designed to support SMEs and startups innovating in solar, energy efficiency, and storage who want to expand into African markets.
The programme builds bridges between green energy ecosystems by facilitating partnerships, market entry strategies, and learning opportunities over 12 months.
Co-funded by the Berlin Senate and implemented by Westerwelle Foundation, ENBA helps companies scale their climate solutions internationally.

AfroGreen ClimAccelerator

The AfroGreen Playbook compiles learnings, best practices, and gender mainstreaming strategies from the AfroGreen ClimAccelerator — the first of its kind focused on women-led climate startups in Africa.
The programme addressed the lack of late-stage and female-focused climate accelerators by supporting 10 women-led startups with 9 months of tailored support for sustainable innovation and growth.
Implemented by WSH Arusha and WSH Mombasa, and powered by Climate-KIC, with co-funding from the European Union and Irish Aid.

Milango is a six-month programme that supports growth-stage startups in Tanzania to expand into East African markets through tailored mentorship, strategic partnerships, and investor connections.
Supported by Ansa Africa and the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), and powered by the High Commission of Canada to Tanzania

The DigiTalents programme equips professionals in the tech and creative industries — from developers to content creators — with the skills, coaching, and market connections they need to grow.
Supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, this tool is a practical guide for implementing skills-focused programming at scale.
